One dead in R71 accident

One man was killed and two injured when a truck rolled down an embankment on the Magoebaskloof road this morning (Monday).

LIMPOPO -On arrival at the wreckage on the side of the road, ER24 paramedics found one person, trapped in the vehicle. “The man was declared dead on the scene,” said ER24 Spokesperson, Russel Meiring.

“Jaws of life had to be used to free the body from the wreck,” he added.

Two other men were found walking around the scene. They had sustained minor to moderate injuries and were treated on the scene after which they were transported to Tzaneen Mediclinic.

The cause of the collision is not yet known and will form part of a police investigation.
