Accident victim found six hours after incident

A 32 year old man’s body was found on the side of the R71 near Dalmada at 06:00 this morning (Friday).

POLOKWANE – The police confirmed that the man was involved in an accident at around 00:00. He was travelling in the direction of Tzaneen when he lost control over the vehicle and hit a curb at the traffic circle near Dalmada.

The man was flung out of the vehicle after it overturned several times before hitting nearby fence. Breakdown personnel on the scene searched  the area but failed to locate the driver.

Hours after the accident his body was found by a passing motorist not far from the accident scene. It is believed he died as a result of head injuries sustained during the accident.

Capt Ntobeng Phala, a Polokwane Police Spokesperson, said a case of culpable homicide is being investigated.
