Horse riders shine at World Cup qualifier

Talented riders and their impressive horses recently took part in the South African Show Jumping's Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) World Cup qualifying round in Polokwane.

LIMPOPO – The event was sponsored by BB Nissan Polokwane and took place at Revil Stables in the city.

Nicola Sime-Riley and her horses, Crispin and Elpaso, remained on top of the current Show Jumper of the Year rankings by winning both the one and 14 classes.

The top six riders and their horses on the current South African Show Jumper of the Year rankings along with Sime-Riley on top after the Reonet Polokwane World Cup Qualifier are:

• 1 – Nicola Sime-Riley with Sunny Park Stables Crispin.

• 2 – Samantha McInosh with Let’s Win.

• 3 – Govett Triggol with C-Ultra.

• 3 – Marlene Sinclair with Camaro.

• 5 – Jeanne Engela with Investec Chanel van de Zeshoek.

• 6 – Chris van der Merwe with Kuda Insurances Domino van der Boswinning.

The results for the winners in their respective classes after the Polokwane World Cup Qualifier round:

• Class 1 – 1,30 m, Nicola Sime-Riley on Sunny Park Stables Crispin.

• Class 2 – 1,30 m, Rainer Korber on Contador 11.

• Class 3 – 1,30 m, Shelly Ann Moore on Lamiro G.i.h.

• Class 4 – 1,30 m, Tracy Davids on Blakeney Boy.

• Class 5 – 1,35 m, Neriske Prinsloo on White Spirit C.

• Class 6 – 1,35 m, Carina Lingerfelder on Alzu Sahara.

• Class 7 – 1,35 m, Jonathan Clarke on Data Sciences Enouche Rk.

• Class 8 – 1,35 m, Jenna Brenda Barrow on Capital Contagion.

• Class 9 – 1,40 m, Shari Navra on Tack N Togs Cupidor.
