Fit, healthy educators
Educators from various circuits in Mogalakwena put on their active wear last Thursday and participated in the annual Fun Day at the Mahwelereng Stadium.
MOKOPANE – The day was filled with cheer and a variety of activities were hosted by the Mogalakwena Wellness Unit to promote the benefits of an active lifestyle. Coordinator of the Mogalakwena District Wellness Unit, Christina Mamashela, thanked everyone for attending the event and encouraged all of the attendees to visit the mobile health clinics present on the day for a check-up.
Meanwhile, the District Senior Manager, Ndo Mangala welcomed all the participants and said the event is greatly supported throughout the province and that he salutes the initiative.
The morning kicked-off with a fun run/ walk followed by various sporting activities in which the educators tested their mettle.
The Education women’s soccer team dominated the field and reigned victorious against the Circuit team with a 2-1 score while the male education team beat the team from FET 1-0.
All the winners boast with a medal and the winning team scooped up the giant trophy.
