Leaders set to be an example

Good Hope Primary School's prefects for next year are looking forward to a year filled with wonderful events and achievements.

POLOKWANE – The 2014 prefects at Good Hope Primary School were announced during their assembly on Monday morning.

Cindy Buys, Good Hope’s principal, said the head boy, head girl, their deputies and 38 other prefects were selected based on their academic performance.

“The prefects were selected from gr. 4 to 6 and, 22 learners from each grade were selected,” Buys said.

These leaders will go on a leadership course in February to help them fulfill their roles as prefects to the best of their abilities.

Eric Lawrence (head boy), Grace Makhura (head girl), Chevroneez Marais (deputy head girl) and Lwazi Mathe (deputy head boy) are Good Hope Primary School's head leaders for next year. They plan to lead by example and to keep their school's name in good standing.
