SAPS operation leads to three arrests

A successful operation composed of SAPS Detectives, Crime Intelligence and VIS in the Seshego Cluster targeted several crime hotspot areas outside Polokwane on Tuesday night.

POLOKWANE – The operation, conducted in the Senwabarwana ,Matlala and Seshego Policing areas, focused on suspects involved in car theft and housebreaking.

“During the operation three suspects aged 24, 26 and 27-years-old were arrested for theft of motor vehicles, housebreaking as well as business and residence theft.”

Three motor vehicles (A Mercedes Benz, Nissan Sentra and Toyota Corolla), eight cell phones, groceries, toiletries and ten pairs of ladies shoes were also recovered said provincial police spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe.

These suspects may possibly be linked to similar cases throughout the Province as well as Gauteng added Ngoepe.

β€œThe engine numbers on the vheilces were tampered with and investigation are still continuing to determine the origin of the vehicles,” said Ngoepe.

The suspects are set to appear before Seshego Magistrate Court soon.
