Don’t evolve your Pokémon or use stardust on them before level 20
In order to level up your Pokémon and make them stronger you will need stardust and candy which you earn through catching different types of Pokémon.
If you started playing Pokémon Go you will realize that even though you catch the same type of Pokémon more than once, their combat levels are different. This is due to your own player level, the higher your level, the stronger are the Pokémon you will be able to catch.
You will only start catching the more powerful Pokémon at about level 20, so it is very important to save your hard earned stardust and candy until you hit level 20.
This can be difficult for some players to do though because it takes a lot of time and effort to reach level 20, but the few players who has enough patience will get the full benefits.
Once you do reach level 20 and start using your candy and stardust you will see that your Pokémon would become way more powerful than players who used their stardust and candy before level 20. This will make it easier for you to raid gyms and defend them, which ultimately lead to your team becoming unstoppable.
