Bat and ball action, great spectator value

The local action cricket club is calling on prospective players to join them for practice twice a week.

POLOKWANE – “We play every Wednesday and Thursday and invite people of all ages to come to the club and join us for a game or just check out what indoor cricket is all about,” says Club owner, Andy Muller.

He adds that the sport is open to anyone who can play cricket, with players ranging between the ages of eight and 55.

“The matches are fast paced and lots of fun and usually only last for an hour to 70 minutes. Each team consists of 8 players and each player gets a chance to bat, field and bowl. An umpire will explain the rules to you beforehand and will keep score on the electronic scoreboard,” he explains.

T20 matches start on Saturday 6 August and spectators are welcome to come along and support the players.
