POLOKWANE – 29-year-old Berdine Jordaan who faces charges of perjury, kidnapping and defeating the ends of justice applied for bail today (Monday) in the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court.
Jordaan was arrested on Wednesday 27 July after she allegedly lied about being kidnapped said Provincial spokesperson for the Hawks, Capt Matimba Maluleke
“The police investigation led authorities to Musina where she, her 5-year-old daughter and a 14-year-old girl were found hiding in a cupboard in a house.”
“The 29-year-old alleged victim was questioned and it was discovered that she was the one who kidnapped the 14-year-old girl, the reason is still unclear.”
She was granted R2000 bail under strict conditions and she is expected to appear again on 20 September 2016 he added.
Investigation continues concluded Maluleke.
