Where to lodge a complaint against SAPS officers

The police would like to inform the community that service delivery complaints have been made against members of the South African Police Service (SAPS).

MOKOPANE – Residents are welcome to lay a complaint, at their local police station, with regard to service rendered by any member of the SAPS. Their complaint should be handed in at the office of the station commander. All service delivery complaints must be categorised to ensure uniformity and to enable the extraction of management information.

These complaints are then classified and finalised within the specified time fame from receipt thereof. The complaints will be captured on the system and it will reflect to head office, after which proper feedback will be given to the complainant.

Mokopane Police Spokesperson, Sgt Irene Masingi said: “Members of the police are urged to work well with the members of the public, treat them with dignity and pride. By working together, we can do more to fight crime.”
