“Our blood can make a difference in saving a life”

Solly Malatsi, Democratic Alliance (DA) Shadow Minister for Sport and Recreation and the Limpopo Spokesperson encourages the youth to to help save lives by becoming lifelong blood donors.

Solly Malatsi, Democratic Alliance (DA) Shadow Minister for Sport and Recreation and the Limpopo Spokesperson encourages the youth to to help save lives by becoming lifelong blood donors. As part of Youth Month and World Donor Day the youth from the DA visited the Polokwane South African National Blood Service (SANBS) on Tuesday to do their part in saving lives by donating blood.

The minimum requirements to be a blood donor are:

• Be between the ages of 16 and 65 years;

• Weigh a minimum of 50kg;

• Be in general good health; and

• Live a safe sexual lifestyle.
