[VIDEO] Polokwane business burns, firefighters still on scene

Downtown traffic is backed up along Church and Grobler Streets due to a building on fire near the corner of the two streets.

Polokwane police spokesperson Capt. Ntobeng Phala said that he can confirm that a fire was reported, but it is still not yet clear what caused the fire. The  fire department is still on the scene fighting the fire and motorists have been warned to use alternative routes as roads are backed-up due to the spectator value.  It has not yet been determined the extent of the damage or if there are any casualties. This will form part of a police investigation.
