Man wanted for buffalo scam

The Modimolle police are looking for Jaco Opperman in connection with several cases of fraud that have been committed in Gauteng and Limpopo.

LIMPOPO – It is alleged that Opperman advertises Buffalo for sale on the internet – interested people contact him whereby they are told to deposit a certain amount into a supplied bank account, says provincial police spokesperson, Col Ronel Otto.

“After the money is deposited, he disappears.”

The said Jaco Opperman allegedly also operates under the names of Tinus Rassie Ras, Kobus Kruger and Rodney Enslin, adds Otto.

It came to the attention of the SAPS that Opperman can also assist with the investigation into several similar cases in Midrand and Lephalale.

Any person who can assist with information on his whereabouts is requested to contact Const Rossouw at Modimolle Detective Service on 071 133 8524 concludes Otto.
