Muzo Brothers embark on a national tour

Afro pop duo, Muzo Brothers say they want to blow fans away on their Best of Both national tour

POLOKWANE –  Matlatsi Matji and Barcoss Makgale have managed to claim national fame since the group’s debut six years ago.

The Mosadi hit makers say they want to give fans a personal experience with their ‘soul touching music’. The Best of Both tour kicked off in April, and they say the public’s response has been great.

Matji says they have done well over the years and their fans continue to support their music which is why they decided to give back to the community with a national tour.

He says their music talks about social issues which people face on a daily basis. They want to touch people through their music as they share their personal life experiences in their songs.

“We sing about things that people can relate to such as unemployment, crime, xenophobia and education,” says Matji.

Matji revealed that although they have released an album before, they have no plans to release another one just yet.

“We have learned a few tricks of the trade and we have invented our own way of doing things. We still write music and perform at festivals, we are just not recording.” he explains.

Makgale says they have both ventured into solo careers as a way to expand their horizons musically. “Our solo projects still offer the same Afro pop sound with a message concerning social issues.”

The Best of Both national tour continues until this time next year.
