More than 500 participate in Run Walk for Life Road Race
Athletes participated in the 5 km fun run, 10 km and 15 km road race.
POLOKWANE – With the aim to prepare for the Comrades Marathon, athletes from the province gathered at Noordskool Primary School to compete during the Run Walk for Life (RWFL) Road Race on Saturday.
The 2016 Comrades Marathon will be held on Sunday, in Pietermaritzburg. This year’s race is a ‘Down Run’ starting at the City Hall in Pietermaritzburg and finishing at The Sahara Kingsmead Cricket Stadium in Durban.
According to Kobie Marais, RWFL representative the road race, more than 500 athletes participated in this annual road race. “Aida is the official sponsor of this road race and we want to thank them for their continued support. We would also like to wish athletes who will compete in the Comrades best of luck.”
