Mokopane says no to racism

Bosveld spoke to leaders in our community with regards to racism and the way forward:

MOKOPANE – The Anti-Racism campaign kicked off on Monday and it will end on March 21 to coincide with the commemoration of the Sharpeville massacre and the Human Rights Day on 21 March.

The campaign is an initiative by the Anti-Racism Network South Africa (ARNSA) and is run in partnership with the Ahmed Kathrada Foundation and the Nelson Mandela Foundation, along with 80 other organisations.

It will see various events being held across South Africa, and the organisers aim to mobilise entities and individuals who would otherwise not focus on questions of racism and its effects and cures, and produce new innovations in the ways people fight racism going forward.

Bosveld spoke to leaders in our community with regards to racism and the way forward:

Pastor Cheardly Hangwani, said: “As read in the Bible God created men in his own likeliness, God created a race the human-race and thus we are all equal before him. God breathed his spirit into us and that spirit does not have a colour. God does not discriminate so how can we? God loves the world and we should love each other.”

Beyser Smit, DA Member of Parliament, said: “Firstly one should know the definition of racism as a lot of people have a misconception of what it truly means and thus tend to use it in the wrong context.

We as the DA recently signed an Anti-racism pledge where we declared that we will fight all forms of discrimination. The truly sad part is that racism divides a nation. Respect one another as one is not born a racist but made one.”

Let’s listen to our beautiful anthem: Nkosi sikelel’ iAfrika (God bless Africa) Yizwa imithandazo yethu,Nkosi sikelela, thina lusapho lwayo.Morena boloka setjhaba sa heso,O fedise dintwa le matshwenyeho,O se boloke, O se boloke setjhaba sa heso,Setjhaba sa, South Afrika. Listen also to our prayers, Lord bless us, we are the family of Africa. Lord bless our nation.

Stop wars and sufferings, save it, save our nation, The nation of South Africa.
