POLOKWANE – Erick Makhoshing, a paraplegic since 2007 married the love of his life on 24 December last year.

Eric is an employee and resident at Centenary House, where he works as a closed-circuit television operator.

He met the love of his life Francinah Mogosime, in 1991 while still in high school but says over the years they lost contact and separated.

After his accident in 2007, they found each other again and rekindled their relationship.

“I always thought about having a wife and children but I didn’t know where to find the right woman. Now I believe when something belongs to you it will always come back. What God put together no man can separate,” he says.

Francinah says being in a wheelchair does not make Erick an incomplete man; he is still the same man she fell in love with years ago. “He still provides for me like any other man would do for his family. Above all he is a responsible and loving husband, I am blessed to have him in my life,” she says.

Erick furthers says he had lost hope and had given up on life after the accident but his wife changed all that and brought hope again.

His wife exemplifies what love is all about.

“When you love someone, love them unconditionally through sickness and health, don’t love them because of what they have but for who they are,” he concludes.

He extends his gratitude to the manager of Centenary House for giving him an opportunity to work there regardless of his disability and he also thanks his family, friends and relatives for their continuous support.
