Police on lookout for hijacked Toyota Hilux

Mankweng police are investigating a case of car hijacking after a 62-year-old man of Ga Mamabolo Makekeng was allegedly held at gunpoint and robbed of his white 4x4 Toyota Hilux on Friday 22 January at about 23:00.

LIMPOPO – Mankweng police are investigating a case of car hijacking after a 62-year-old man of Ga Mamabolo Makekeng was allegedly held at gunpoint and robbed of his white 4×4 Toyota Hilux on Friday 22 January at about 23:00.

The victim alleged that while his wife was opening the gate so that he could park inside their yard in Ga Mamabolo Makekeng, a car stopped next to him and two men got out of the car. The men ordered him at gunpoint to get out of the car and they drove away in the stolen vehicle.

The vehicle is a white 4×4 Toyota Hilux reg no DCX704L.

“No one has been arrested at the moment and we are still searching for the alleged hijacked car and the suspects.” says const Matimba Maluleke of the Mankweng police station.
