Hailstorm leaves many Limpopo families homeless

Many families were left homeless as a result of the hailstorm that ravaged parts of Limpopo recently

POLOKWANE – Many families were left homeless as a result of the hailstorm that ravaged parts of Limpopo recently.

One such family is a child-headed family, whose house was destroyed by the storm. In Apel, about 34 homes were left without roofs.

Spokesperson for Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs, Motupa Selomo as many as 40 families in the Fetakgomo Municipality were without homes.

He said government had deployed disaster management to affected districts to assess the damage.

“We can confirm that the province has been hit hard by the disaster on weekend when storm ravaged scattered areas.”
