LIMPOPO – Radio Turf FM, a campus station based at the University of Limpopo, will be hosting their award ceremony on Friday, 27 November at the Oscar Mpethe Sports Complex.

The purpose of this ceremony is to recognise the efforts of the station’s staff said Makwena Mamadi, station deputy manager.

“This will also serve as a way of encouraging our volunteers and the presenters to work hard in sharpening their skills as community radio is a training ground for future media connoisseurs,” Mamadi explained.

He believes this will make the winners feel recognised and serves as a token of appreciation towards great work done to the targeting areas.

“We expect to see our presenters growing into the best community radio stations presenters throughout the province in five years. We appreciate the listeners’ votes that came in in large numbers to this historic ceremony of their favourite station,” he added.
