Relay for Life just around the corner, register your team now
The theme this year is Disney so participants can go all out and dress up in anything that resembles the entertainment giant's many movies or characters.
POLOKWANE – The Cansa Relay For Life will be hosted at the Peter Mokaba Stadium from 18:00 on 23 October to 06:00 on 24 October.
Residents are urged to register teams as soon as possible and become part of this life changing fun event – the theme this year is Disney so participants can go all out and dress up in anything that resembles the entertainment giant’s many movies or characters.
“More than 60 teams have registered already for this year’s charity event. Let us take the lead in South Africa once again.”
“Only 100 stands are still available so people must hurry up and register their teams,” says David Booth, Cansa Relay For Life staff partner.
Teams of 10 to 15 people can be entered and this will cost R600, including a stand for the team.
Visitors pay R60 per person.
The team or stand that expresses the theme the best will at the end of the rally be presented with a prize for true dedication and commitment to this cause.
He urges participants to have fun with anything and everything Disney-related while exploring the theme. “The more fun, the better – think of visible exposure to attract eyes to your stand.”
Residents are encouraged to bring a positive attitude, lots of energy, family, friends, a gazebo or tent, a table, chairs, warm clothes, blankets, umbrellas, raincoats, lots of money for food, drinks, pancakes and other goodies, and a camera.
“Don’t bring alcohol, tobacco products (bring lots of R2 coins for sin-tax if you insist on smoking), pets, weapons and no fire or gas on the fields.”
Curro Northern Academy is one of teams that has entered for this year’s Cansa Relay For Life.
