Rameez back in court today
Local businessman, Rameez Patel, who stands accused of murdering his wife, Fatima, is expected to appear in the Polokwane magistrate’s court on Tuesday 22 September (today).
POLOKWANE – Local businessman, Rameez Patel, who stands accused of murdering his wife, Fatima, is expected to appear in the Polokwane magistrate’s court on Tuesday 22 September (today).
Patel is currently out on R250 000 bail for the alleged murder of Fatima Patel. At his last court appearance on the 7 July Patel’s bail conditions were amended.
One of the bail conditions in his wife’s murder case was that he report to the Westenburg police station three times a week, and when he reported to the station on July 31, he was arrested for Fanie Adams’ murder.
Adams was allegedly brutally assaulted by Patel in 2013.
In the Adams case, Patel brought a formal bail application which lasted two days. He was released on bail on 13 August.
