POLOKWANE – In South Africa, cardiovascular disease is the second biggest killer after HIV/AIDS.

While it is a growing problem within our country, about 80% of cardiovascular disease can be prevented by adopting a healthy lifestyle.

For the Heart and Stroke Awareness Month, Mediclinic Limpopo will be offering a free five-minute blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose screening test at Savannah Mall on 30 and 31 October.

“This is the ideal opportunity to find out more about heart disease and how to prevent it (our expert nurses will answer any questions),” says Istha McMillan, patient experience manager at Mediclinic Limpopo.
