LIMPOPO – On Sunday the police report that one suspect has been detained for questioning, after ammunition taken during the robbery at Matlopi Game Farm was found in his possession.
According to previous information Magrieta Petronella Res (59) and her husband Bruno were overpowered by unknown suspects when welcoming a female friend to the farm in the Thabazimbi area on Friday afternoon.
It has now been determined that Petronella Res was shot in the head and her husband Bruno in the arm. Res’s body, Bruno and the visitor were locked in a walk-in safe not a cold store room as previously reported says provincial police spokesperson, Col Ronel Otto.
“Five fire arms were taken during the incident : hunting rifles, a shotgun and 9mm pistol.”
“Tracks on the scene indicated that there might have been four suspects involved.”
Investigations continue concludes Otto.
