Netcare hospital opens on 21 September

The modern facility will have more than 100 beds and will offer a wide range of medical and specialist services.

POLOKWANE – The Netcare Polokwane Hospital, bordered by Grobler and Mahem Streets as well as Du Preez and Eland Avenues in Fauna Park, will officially open on 21 September.

The estimated cost of the new hospital is R540 million.

The modern facility will have more than 100 beds and will offer a wide range of medical and specialist services which includes cardiology, cardio-thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, urology, ear, nose and throat surgery, paediatrics surgery and orthopaedic surgery.

The hospital will have an emergency department, adult medical and surgical wards, an obstetrics ward, paediatric ward, day ward, a combined intensive care and high-care unit, a neonatal intensive care unit, general theatres, a caesarean theatre, catheterisation laboratory, radiology and pathology departments, a fertility clinic and a retail pharmacy.

Patients in the city and surrounding areas can look forward to receive the best medical care on their doorstep soon.
