ALERT: Water supply to be affected

Urgent maintenance on the main bulk water supply pipeline will affect the water supply to the city on Thursday.

POLOKWANE –  Urgent maintenance on the main bulk water supply pipeline will affect the water supply to the city on Thursday.

“Lepelle Northern Water has to undertake urgent maintenance of their Specon pipeline” –  maintenance will done on 27 August from 06:00-13:00 says  municipal spokesperson, Tidimalo Chuene on Wednesday Afternoon.

“A huge leak has been noticed on the Specon Pipe line and its repair cannot be postponed due to huge water loss.”

“LNW will pump extra water on Wednesday evening and pump from the Ebenezer Plant to keep reservoirs sufficiently filled with water during the process to ensure that the water shortage experienced will not be to drastic.”

Consumers are urged to use water sparingly during this downtime. Residents are also encouraged to report any water related issues to the municipality by calling 015 290 2376 during working hours or 015 290 2000 after hours.
