Rameez Patel: ‘assaulted victim with a hockey stick’
According to provincial police spokesperson, Col Ronel Otto, Rameez Patel, who stands accused for the murder of his wife Fatima Patel, was arrested this morning for the murder of Tony Adams, a resident from Westenburg.
POLOKWANE – According to provincial police spokesperson, Col Ronel Otto, Rameez Patel, who stands accused for the murder of his wife Fatima Patel, was arrested this morning for the murder of Tony Adams, a resident from Westenburg.
The incident happened in 2013. During Patel’s bail application in connection with his wife’s murder, the murder incident of Adams came to light.
With further police investigations, enough evidence was recently collected to open a case and Patel was arrested at his workplace in Nirvana this morning.
“It is alleged that Adams was seen entering the yard of Rameez Patel unlawfully. Adams was than assaulted with a hockey stick and his body dumped in the parking area of a nearby supermarket,” Otto said.
Patel will appear in court on Monday.
