POLOKWANE – Local businessman, Rameez Patel, who stands accused of murdering his wife, Fatima, appeared in the Polokwane magistrate’s court on Tuesday 7 July (today).
Patel’s defence lawyer, Tumi Mokwena, this morning argued that his client needed some bail conditions to be amended.
Magistrate Mohamed Shaik granted the amendment and ruled that Patel would no longer have to report three times a day to the Westenburg police station, but rather once a day.
He would also be allowed to travel to his business with the written permission of the investigating officer, Const David Nkuna.
The case was postponed to 22 September for further investigation.
