POLOKWANE – Children of various ages came together on Saturday to march against child abuse.

Mrs Polokwane, Loudine Redelinghuys was also part of the march.

Organised by Childline Polokwane, the march started at the Jack Botes Hall and proceeded to the Office of the Premier, where they handed over a book of hope and spoke out against child abuse.

The book of hope contained messages from learners across the city on child abuse.

Learners from Siloe School For The Blind said they wanted to make people understand that being blind did not make them any different and that they were special and able to do everything other children could, but just differently.

The director of Childline Polokwane, Pricilla Molaudzi, told Review that marches like these needed to happen more often.

“Children need to be heard. They are the voice of the future and they need to say what they feel.

“Children are special and have rights that no adult can take away from them,” she said.
