Tip off leads to arrest of Nigerian drug dealer in Polokwane
The suspect was arrested following a tip-off and was spotted in a parked, white motor vehicle selling drugs in a park in the city.
POLOKWANE – A Nigerian man will appear before the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court today on a drug possession charge following his arrest on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old man was arrested by members of the provincial Organised Crime Unit during a disruptive operation in Polokwane.

Police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said the suspect was arrested following a tip-off and was spotted in a parked, white motor vehicle selling drugs in a park in the city.
“The suspect was in possession of crystal meth, CAT and heroin with an estimated street value of R50 000. A motor vehicle worth R90 000 was also confiscated during the arrest,” his statement read.
The provincial police commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe welcomed the arrest and applauded the members involved for their endless effort in the fight against drugs.
“Police investigations into the matter continue,” Ledwaba said.
