The four accused, Percy Radzuma, Simon Radzuma and Ndivhuwo Radzuma of Makwarela township near Sibasa and the resident of Eswatini, Thabo Sibanze remain in custody.

Dean Simon Farisani of the Mass Democratic Movement and one of the elders who attended the court hearing, said the families of two slain Samwu officials were worried about the continued postponement of the cases as it has taken so long before the the trial started.

“We are not trying to teach the law enforcement agencies such as the magistrate and prosecutors to speed up the matter. Delaying the matter before the accused start with the trial causes devastation to the two families and the families want the people involved in the killings of their loved ones to face the mighty arm of the law,” said Farisani.

The four are accused of the murders of Ronald Mani (50) and Timpson Musetsho (50) in 2019.

Both Samwu leaders criticised the Vhembe district’s decision to invest R300 million into the now defunct VBS Mutual Bank.
