Polokwane to host Cricket South Africa’s rural week
The Limpopo Impala Cricket Union will host the 2022 Cricket South Africa (CSA) rural week tournament at various cricket ovals in the city from February 16-21.
POLOKWANE – During the week male and female cricket teams from KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga, Free State, Northern Cape, North West, Gauteng and Limpopo will showcase their talent to the various cricket scouts from Cricket South Africa.
The week forms a critical part of the Cricket South Africa organisation as it gives players from rural areas an opportunity to pit their skills against other top cricketers from all over South Africa.
At the end of the week the scouts from Cricket South Africa will select the most talented cricketers to form part of the Cricket South Africa rural week team.
The tournament is also seen as the pinnacle of every young cricketer’s journey and will provide each player with a platform to showcase their talent and skills to reap the rewards for all the hard work they put in over many years.
Limpopo will be represented by young cricketers from five districts in the province and matches will be played at Nirvana cricket field and Polokwane cricket field.
