Another speedster caught driving 225km/h on N1 south

LIMPOPO – A 33-year-old man was charged with reckless and negligent driving after he was caught travelling at a speed of 225km/h.

According to Limpopo Transport spokesperson Matomi Moremi-Taueatsoala, the male motorists was trapped along the N1 south near Mookgophong.

The ‘reckless driver’ was driving a Mercedes-Benz A200 and was apprehended by two inspectors from the department on Friday (December 17). They were charged with reckless and negligent driving and was detained at the Mookgophong Police Station, he explained.

He further warned road users that law enforcement officers are patrolling provincial roads to ensure that unruliness, negligence and disregard for the law does not lead to unnecessary loss of life.
