Mighty Tactical Reaction Services CEO Shaahid Valjie has since confirmed to Review that the getaway vehicles have been identified as a silver/grey/champagne-coloured Kia Sportage, with no number plates. The other vehicle is a black Mercedes Benz, also with no number plates.

The boys’ 64-year-old driver was transporting four boys from Nirvana to their school in Polokwane at around 07:00 when the drivers of a white Kia Sorento and a black Mercedes Benz blocked the BMW from the front and back on the Tzaneen bypass, Westenburg station commander Lt Col Maimele Pilusa said.

Valjie explained to Review that the vehicles were last seen on the R81 heading out of Polokwane.

“Traffic officers attempted to stop the vehicles. We are urgently requesting companies who have CCTV footage that may help in the investigation, to contact them on 076 712 1537, their nearest police station or Capt Rasedile on 082 565 8566.”
