Polokwane CBD shooting: Murder accused back in court

Tshepo Rakoma (32) was found dead in her car following a shooting incident in the Polokwane CBD on May 6.

POLOKWANE –  Kibi Josias Leboho (34) will appear in the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court today (September 15) for bail judgement.

Leboho is accused of murdering Tshepo Rakoma (32), who was killed in a shooting incident in the Polokwane CBD on May 6.

“It is alleged an argument ensued between the man and woman, whereby he produced a firearm and shot her several times. She died instantly,” police spokesperson Brig Motlafela Mojapelo said previously.

Director of Public Prosecutions regional spokesperson Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi at the time said Leboho went to the third floor of the parking garage where the incident occurred.

“He threatened to kill himself and was later arrested by the police who recovered a firearm on him, believed to have been used in the murder. It belonged to a taxi owner,” she explained.

Malabi-Dzhangi said Leboho faces charges of murder, as well as the unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.

He made his first appearance on May 10 and was remanded in custody.

The taxi owner was charged with the negligence loss of a firearm in a separate matter, she added.
