1st Mr and Miss Spring crowned

Gavin Manamela and Bridgette Minyuku were crowned Mr and Miss Spring Polokwane at the Mimosa Recreational Club last Saturday.

Gavin Manamela and Bridgette Minyuku were crowned Mr and Miss Spring Polokwane at the Mimosa Recreational Club last Saturday.

More than 50 models competed in this pageant hosted by Sweet Beats Models.

Chantell Aphane was crowned Miss Spring Polokwane junior.

 

The other winners were:

• First prince – Selby Malema.

• Second prince – Thabo Seopa.

• Mr Personality – Thato Ledwaba.

• First princess – Khomotso Ramoneta.

• Second princess – Mavis Ledwaba.

• Miss Personality – Rose Mogale.

• First princess (junior) – Phenyo Moekoa.

• Second princess (junior) – Leago Modiba.

 

Manamela and Minyuku are required to do charity work and help the needy as part of their roles as Mr and Miss Spring Polokwane.

The contestants were judged on physical appearance, outfits, movement, confidence and poses.

There was a variety of prizes for the winners, which included cosmetics, certificates and modelling contracts with Sweet Beats Models.

Maite Makgato from Sweet Beats Models said this was the first pageant hosted by their agency.

“We plan on making it an annual event to groom models and to empower them. We normally interview models as we need someone who can speak and represent the agency with confidence. Sweet Beats Models is ready to take the winners to big competitions like Miss Limpopo,” Maite said.
