MODJADJI Plaza, in partnership with the Vulundlela Community Project, hosted a Drop-in Centre Awareness campaign in Kgapane last Thursday.

According to Modjadji Plaza centre manager, Stephanie Ras, the event was planned to raise funds for the Ga-Kgapane Drop-in Centre.

She said, with the help of Shoprite, Nizams and Fish & Chips, they managed to raise R1 365 for the centre, which caters for 75 children daily by cooking one meal per day for these children.

“They sometimes don’t have funds to ensure this much needed service to our community continues.

“We will ensure that we are more involved in this project and in the community from now on,” said Ras, who described the event as a success and an opportunity for people who care to come together to make a difference.

She said it was a fun day with performances by local artists like Angelo and Garnasia.

Learners from the local schools and the Mamatlepa Khasane cultural dancers made Thursday a day to remember for the whole community.
