[WATCH] Muni switches off water, electricity at Lim depts
The Polokwane Municipality have embarked on a switch-off mission, whereby they will disconnect the water and electricity supply at the various government-owned buildings in the city.
POLOKWANE – These departments owe the municipality and municipal officials will today visit the various buildings and give them the switch.
R144 million is owed to the municipality by the Department of Education, Public Works (provincial and national), Health, Rural Development, among others.

Polokwane Municipality has just cut off electricity supply to Limpopo Department of Education. The department owes the Municipality more than 9million rand and is 210 days in arrears.
From here, we are enroute to the Department of Health which owes the Municipality more tha R4m.

Other departments who owe the municipality include:
Department of Public Works who owes a total of R50 961 902.92,
National Public Works owes R16 469 869.62,
Department of Rural Development owes R53 142, 931.42, and
Treasury owes R150 301.93.
