Former Noorderland learner crowned Miss Mamelodi Sundowns Limpopo 2019/2020

Though she's currently studying towards a degree in Pharmacy at the University of Limpopo (UL), Lesego tells Review that she still pursues modelling part-time.

POLOKWANE – Former Miss Capricorn District 2016, Miss Limpopo Teen 2017 and Miss Baroka FC 2018, Lesego Matheba (20) has been crowned the new Miss Mamelodi Sundowns Limpopo 2019/20 and she won’t stop any time soon in making her province proud.

Having received R60 000 with her title, Lesego, alongside Ronel Homu, will both represent Limpopo at the Miss Mamelodi Sundowns 2020 finale early next year. The lucky winner will walk away with a brand new Hyundai Sedan and R310 000 in cash.

“I believe that I won the Miss Mamelodi Sundowns Limpopo title because I prepared myself thoroughly. I know for a fact that gave me an edge over the other contestants, but also God is the one who plans everything. I believe I won because I’m what the brand was looking for. I believe God had this planned for me,” she said.

Lesego was one of the top learners at Hoërskool Noorderland for the class of 2017 and she has also worked as a presenter for Reality Waves Radio Station. “I’m a philanthropist who believes in the power of liberating women,” she said.

Though she’s currently studying towards a degree in Pharmacy at the University of Limpopo (UL), Lesego tells Review that she still pursues modelling part-time. “I’m an advocate for humanitarian work and I have adopted my own drop-in centre in the Lepelle Nkumpi Municipality where I do most of my charity projects,” she added.

“The reason why I always enter pageants is because I want to be an inspiration to the people around me and modelling has given me that platform,” she added.
