“It is exciting that autumn is here, we can start rearranging our wardrobes according to the change of season. It is the time to start paying attention to nature, as the leaves start changing colour and then fall. Nature always talks to us, we just have to look, listen and get inspired,” she said.

There are three categories of colour palettes in autumn, which are warm, soft and deep. “We have a variety of colours to choose from that suit our unique skin complexions. Warm autumn colours are the colours we see on fallen leaves such as brown, yellow, red, spicy nutmeg and pumpkin orange. These colours work very well with warm golden undertones.

“These are great colours for those who love warm earth tones,” she said. She further explained that you can never go wrong with these colours, because you can wear them as a solid full outfit or mix them up.

– Soft autumn colours are basically the neutral/pastel versions of our autumn colour palette.

“As long as the colours are soft, it doesn’t matter whether it’s from the warm or cool colour palette. These colours are great if you want to wear your outfit and come across polite (soft), not too warm and not too deep and overpowering. You need to be careful with this outfit, if it’s pastel or neutral outfit, keep it all in the same shades. Basically, avoid bright colours in this category,” she added.

– Deep autumn colours are dark chocolate, tomato red, pine green, dark purple, dark blue. She explained these colours are perfect if you want to look dark and deep, but need to be paired with some of the bright colours.

“You can wear a dark colour outfit and throw in a bright scarf, for a nice contrast,” she said.
