POLOKWANE – The Polokwane Municipality says that water supply sources in the municipality are under serious strain due to a number of stoppages from both Ebenezer and Olifantspoort plants.
Municipal spokesperson, Thipa Selela says Ebenezer is experiencing stoppages due to loadshedding and this is seriously affecting supply to the City, Mankweng and rural areas from Ga-Mamabolo, Sebayeng and Solomondale.
“All areas are already experiencing water shortages and authorities are working on getting the plants isolated from loadshedding,” he said
Areas receiving water are urged to use water sparingly and the municipality says they will continue to supply relief measures through water tankers in all affected areas.
