Residents have gathered outside the Polokwane Magistrates Court this morning claiming justice for Thoriso Themane
POLOKWANE – Five suspects between the ages of 15 and 16-years-old are expected to appear in the Polokwane Magistrates Court this morning in connection with the murder of Thoriso Themane.
Themane was assaulted by a group of teenagers on Saturday night, 23 February, and succumbed to his injuries.

His murder has caused a national outcry which has led to the social media hashtag #JusticeForThoriso.
Crowds are currently gathering outside the Polokwane Magistrates Court, demanding justice for Themane’s murder.

Included in the crowd is EFF Chairperson for ward 20, Linda Manamela, who was denied entry into the court.
“We understand they are underage but they killed a human soul. We want to support the Themane family,” she could be heard saying.
DA Provincial Leader, Jacques Smalle, along with other members of the DA is also outside the Polokwane Magistrates Court this morning.
Smalle told Review that they are concerned about the increase in drug related crime in the city.
