N1 temporarily closed following head on collision on the N1 near Mookgophong
Spokesperson for the Department of Transport, Matome Moremi Taueatsoala says the N1 near Mookgophong will be closed for about four hours
POLOKWANE – According to reports, the killer N1 has claimed the lives of five more people following a head-on collision in the early hours of this morning.

Moremi Taueatsoala says the accident involved a Toyota bakkie and a Polo sedan that collided head on in Mookgophong between the two off-ramps.
The road will be temporarily closed for about three to four hours and motorists travelling from Polokwane to Gauteng will be directed via the off-ramp to the R101 before Mookgophong and those traveling from Gauteng to Polokwane, from Kranskop, will also be directed to the R101 via the Mookgopong off-ramp.
Police spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe says police are still finalizing the crime scene and will give an update immediately after all details and number of casualties are confirmed.
