[WATCH] N1 South blocked at entrance to city
The N1 road between the Polokwane Snake Park and MeMeropa Casino and Entertainment World has once again been blocked by members of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF).
POLOKWANE – They are still protesting against the continuous delays in the completion of the N1 ring road project and want answers from Sanral. The party were set to meet with representatives from Sanral at 10:00 this morning.
Motorists intending to drive South out of Polokwane to use the alternative R37 road and turn right into R71 to join N1 or R101 at the Ultra City Shell Garage. Motorists travelling North on R101 and N1 are advised to join the R71 bypass.

One lane is open for South and Northbound traffic. Matome Moremi-Taueatsoala, Spokesperson for the Department of Traffic, still advises motorists intending to drive South out of Polokwane to use the alternative R37 road and turn right into R71 to join N1 or R101 at the Ultra City Shell Garage. Motorists travelling North on R101 and N1 are advised to join the R71 bypass.
Public Order Police are on the scene to manage the situation.
