Visit the Polokwane Game Reserve mahala this week
September is Tourism month and from the 11 to 15 September, the Polokwane Municipality will be offering visitors free access to the Polokwane Game Reserve.
POLOKWANE – Municipal spokesperson, Disree Manyane, says all South African citizens are welcome to visit the reserve at no cost upon presentation of a South African ID. If they want to use a municipal vehicle it is at a cost of R876 for a maximum of 20 people, she adds.
Many people are not aware of the Polokwane Game Reserve located on their doorstep on the Silicon road a short distance outside the city. The game reserve has a rich variety with over 20 species mammals and over 300 bird species calling the lush bushveld, thornveld and grassveld of the reserve home.

There is also a variety of hiking and cycling trails throughout the reserve as well as a large braai area.
The Polokwane Game Reserve is open between 07:00 and 16:00.
