“Water supply had to be closed again to allow repairs on the leaking pipe which will lead to Flora Park, Fauna Park, parts of Bendor, Capricorn Moregloed, Serala View and the City Center to be without water,” the statement read.
The municipality says technicians will do all possible to minimize the repair time.
“The Municipality apologies for the inconveniences caused by the unfortunate situation. Meanwhile, water tankers will supply temporary relief to affected areas.”
As part of accountability, the Executive Mayor has called for a meeting with the communities of Flora Park, Serala View and Fauna Park on this matter. The meeting is being arranged for Tuesday evening and the venue will be announced once confirmed.
“The situation is extremely frustrating to the residents and we appreciate your patience during this difficult period,” the municipality stated.
