Kruinies mourn the death of music teacher

Peter Blos (28 )and his two children, Lelo (3) and Favour (6), were travelling to their house in Soshanguve at around 15:00 on Friday, when they were involved in a head-on collision with a minibus taxi.

POLOKWANE – Peter Blos (28) joined the Curro Heuwelkruin family in January as a music teacher for the primary school and he is described by Eben Lingenfelder, Chief Executive Head of the school, as a dynamic young man.

Peter died on the scene and his children sustained serious injuries. Favour was airlifted to hospital where he remains in a critical condition and in an induced coma. Lelo underwent an operation to her leg and needs bed rest for six weeks.

“Peter’s wife, Rachel, was not with them at the time of the accident and is severely traumatised,” Lingenfelder told Review.

Before joining the Curro family, Peter was a piano moderator at Unisa.

“He was an impressive and gentle man. He was enthusiastic about music and an experienced choir leader. Peter will be greatly missed by colleagues and learners who are still reeling from his unexpected passing.”

His funeral will be held in Pretoria, today.

Peter leaves behind his wife and two children, parents and other family.
