Lim Health: We apologise for non payment of a community doctors and interns

The Department of health has apologised to the few affected parties who have not received their basic salaries or monthly allowances for the month of January 2018.

LIMPOPO – According to a statement issued by Health Spokesperson, Thabiso Teffo, two medical interns, a community service doctor, a community service dentist as well as newly appointed health professionals did not receive the money due to them for the month of January.

“The issue came result of late central allocation of health professionals, which has to go through provincial treasury approval of those appointments. Therefore we have engaged treasury to approve those late allocation of the two interns for them to be appointed on the system and be paid,” said Teffo.

The department would like to apologise to the few affected employees and reassure them that their allowances have been captured and will be paid, he concluded.
