Man shot and killed during alleged taxi unrest in Polokwane CBD
A taxi driver was shot and killed by an unknown man on the corner of Bodenstein and Church Streets this afternoon (Tuesday).
POLOKWANE – The incident happened at a well-known hiking spot and it is alleged that the man wanted to pick up people when he was approached by a gang of taxi drivers.
He got out of his vehicle and took out his firearm and shot one of the drivers.
The driver was certified dead at the scene.
A murder case is being investigated by the Polokwane police and no arrest have been made yet.
