Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi ‘shocked and saddened’ by Joe Maila’s death

Maila, former spokesperson for the Limpopo Department of Health, passed away on Thursday evening.

POLOKWANE – A press statement, released by the national Department of Health states the circumstances surrounding Maila’s death are not yet known to the Ministry.

Maila is survived by his wife and two children.

“I appeal to the media and members of the community to allow the family space to deal with his death,” Motsoaledi urged.

Details of his memorial and funeral services will be announced as soon as information is received from the family.


POLOKWANE – Current spokesperson for the Limpopo Department of Health, Derrick Kganyago confirmed the news to Review and said they were currently on their way to Maila’s family.

No foul play is suspected.

Review is awaiting an official statement on his passing from the Department of Health.
